Approach

On the Sierra de la Corta, on the E slope of la Gobia, near summit. From the Caseton de Andara, follow the Beges track until due N of Mancondiu, descend and go along a ridge to two depressions which are close together in a col. Follow the track from the Caset Colin Boothroyd description from 2010 - most likely T294 (GPS used) Follow the track from the Caseton de Andara (Caseton de Andara) towards Beges. Pass round the front of the Pica del Mancondiu and continue until the track turns south and is built on a dry stone wall on the N side. At this point walk N down the grassy slope towards the large depression on the east side of the Sierra de la Corta. On the N side of this depression there is large, gently sloping slab of bare limestone. The entrance is amongst a jumble of boulders, at the bottom of the centre of the slab.

Entrance

Boulder filled entrance on same level as col.

The 3 to 4m wide entrance is partly overhung by a large block. You can stand on the boulders on the S side to look into the shaft and there are two other shafts amongst these boulders. From this position the bolts can be seen at head height in the northern wall.

Description

A 2m drop between boulders leads onto a 40m pitch to the floor.

several continuations with a possible dig, 2 bolt climbs and a too tight rift left as possible leads. A footprint was found in the mud at the bottom of the cave and a spit at the top of the 2nd pitch, so has been previously explored, presumably in the 70s. A short continuation of the rift leading away from the base of the first pitch was squeezed through, allowing for a modest extension of the cave.
